It seems that the player will initially begin their life in Nivalis as the owner of a small restaurant or bar, as a lot of the early game seems to revolve around building customer relations and the reputation of a player's business.Cyberpunk exists within its own fictional timeline, which splits from the real world in 1990. The reveal trailer for Nivalis opens with an establishing shot of the city, which gives off serious Cyberpunk 2077 vibes, before informing the player of their role as a small business owner. Nivalis is a life simulation game, giving players a chance to explore the newly refurbished city without forcing them to take on the role of a delivery driver. Rather than an adventure game, Nivalis offers players a rich, meaningful environment where they can build up their own business from scratch.
It may sound familiar to Cloudpunk players as it is the city players travel through in the adventure title.
Back in May 2021, Ion Lands announced a new DLC for Cloudpunkalongside a new spin-off title called Nivalis. However, this didn't stop Cloudpunk from gaining a following, especially from those interested in Blade Runner-style mysteries and worlds.
